GHWH 3rd Grade 8/14

 We've hit the ground running with literature! Scholars, you can expect to dive deeper into the mystery that is Trumpeter Swans and learn more about Louis in the coming weeks. Please be prepared to submit a Try, Try Again recitation by August 28th at midnight. Lastly, be on the lookout for the daily study of writing and grammar in the forms of scripted and interactive videos.

This week we will be studying our wonderful Base-10 number system including 4-digit numbers, place value, and number patterns. Scholars will be using their paper math manipulatives, and working in their Primary Mathematics Textbooks and Workbooks.

This week we will be diving into a wonderful adventure across the world’s many rivers. We will travel to Egypt, China, and India. Scholars will answer questions based on reading chapters 1 & 2. There will be a quiz at the end of the week.


This week in Science we will begin to explore the world of animal and plant life cycles. Scholars will read chapters 1 and 2. This Core Knowledge reader will be available for download in Google Classroom. There will be a quiz at the end of the week.

Google Classroom Clarification: In all of your google classrooms your scholar should be enrolled in TWO classes. One is your student's homeroom, the other should be their grade level specials class. If you do not see both classes please reach out to one of your specials teachers via email to let them know so that they can add you to their class.
