3rd Grade 10/2

Hi scholars, get ready to read some great Greek and Roman Myths this week! We will begin our study of verbs as we’ve now mastered subjects and predicates. Please continue practicing The Children’s Hour by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and be on the lookout for more dictations and narrations in writing. Keep up the good work!

Next week, scholars will analyze two-step word problems to find the sum or difference. They will also show what they have learned in a cumulative assessment which covers everything we have learned in 3rd grade!

We will continue our journey into ancient Rome. We will discuss the legend of Remus and Romulus, the founding of Rome, and the kidnapping of the Sabines.

This week in science we will end our unit on life cycles, traits, and variations.  There will be a review and there will be an end of unit assessment.

As a reminder that scholars are off on Monday, October 5. Enjoy your long weekend.
