3rd Grade 2/26/2021

Scholars, thank you for practicing Pocahontas by Rosemary Carr Benét. We will spend one more week reading short stories before enjoying idioms and sayings! 

Scholars will continue to discuss and explore fractions. We will work on subtracting fractions, and fractions of a set. There will be an assessment on subtracting fractions. 

Our unit on astronomy is coming to an end. This week we will end our unit with a small quiz. 

Great work scholars! We have finished our unit on the Earliest Americans. This week we will learn about our Canadian friends up north.

What would you do if you had a genie in a bottle that granted your every wish? This week we will continue our analysis of short stories!

This week we will continue to work on fractions. Scholars will review on Tuesday and take an assessment on Wednesday. Then we will discuss and explore adding fractions and review adding fractions.  

This week we will continue to explore our solar system. We have learned about our stars and the 8 planets. What else is in our solar system?

We have learned about the ancestral pueblo and the mound builders. This week we will explore what came after the ancestral pueblo and the mound builders.

This week we are reviewing Object Pronouns and practicing letter writing. Keep up the great work, Spartans!

This week scholars will discuss and explore finding equivalent fractions using multiplication, division, simplest form, comparing and ordering fractions, and review the week's concepts. 

This week, we will continue exploring objects in the sky and how they work together. We will continue learning about planets and stars in the sky. 

The Ice age is coming to an end! We continue to explore The Earliest Americans. We have reviewed “Beringia: The Land Bridge”.
